Domestic Adoption Program
Barker’s Domestic Adoption Program finds families for infants of all racial and ethnic groups who are born in the U.S. We work primarily with families residing in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. Our program includes:

- Older Child Adoption Program: Project Wait No Longer, Permanency for Foster Youth
General applicant guidelines for all Barker Foundation placement programs, include:
- Applicants are in good physical and mental health.
- Applicants are not actively involved in infertility treatment at the time they make application to adopt.
- A parent will stay home with the child full time for a minimum of six weeks following placement.
