Project Wait No Longer: Permanency for Foster Youth is a program of The Barker Foundation, a licensed non-profit adoption agency serving Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia for 65 years.

Well-known for its work in infant adoption domestically and internationally, Barker has expanded its focus and commitment to include finding homes for older children and youth through Fost-Adopt and Adoption.

Project Wait No Longer aims to restore the hope and answer the longing for permanency of children and teenagers who face the daily reality of public foster care.These children desire the joy, love and stability of a “forever family” like we all do.The Barker Foundation, in partnering with public service agencies to combine our resources, is dedicating itself to making a difference in the lives of waiting children.
