Barker takes seriously its commitment to find just the right family for each and every child. 

A waiting child means a child who is older and/or a child with known medical needs, ranging from minor correctable conditions to more severe and/or permanent conditions. The ages of the children range from infant to age 14. Currently, we're actively seeking families for children from China, India and Colombia.

Prospective families will receive preparation and support for adopting an older child and a child with special needs. The Barker staff will assist the family in identifying and obtaining resources available for them as well.
